The first two quarterfinals were played this morning and it is hard to say they satisfied the expectations for tough clashes. Both matches were over in quick 3 sets. Wawrinka beat Tsonga 7:6(2), 6:4, 6:3. Only 2 hours later, Federer won his match 6:1, 7:5, 6:2 as he took the first set in only 19 minutes. Even though the second set was far more interesting as Zverev broke Roger's serve and lead 4:2, Federer found his rhythm again to take the set 7:5. Zverev, who eliminated Andy Murray in the previous round was far from successful on the net today against the player with most Grand Slams in history.
Wawrinka and Federer will meet on Thursday in an all Swiss semifinal.
Tomorrow are the two top matches from this stage as David Goffin will play Grigor Dimitrov early in the morning (3:30 GMT watch live). Later will be the clash between Nadal and Raonic (8:30 GMT watch live) which will decide the last player to enter the top four.
