The introduction of the Halo system is one of the hottest topics in F1 currently, as the FIA decided to use it starting from next season. The decision is not welcomed by the F1 fans and many of the teams. And in my opinion they have right not to agree with FIA. Here are a few reasons why:
It Just Doesn't Look Good
An obvious reason, so let's check it off first. This system just doesn't fit with the direction F1 has been going in recent years, making the cars look more aggressive, faster, and more attractive if you wish. And this ruins the whole picture of the visual development of the car. And I think that there are some other solutions that would make the car look better and safer at the same time such as the aeroscreen:

It Doesn't Make the Car Much Safer
The modern F1 cars are safe enough. Apart from Jules' death, which was just a consequence of poor decisions by the stewards, there were no fatal incidents in the past 25 years. We now often see drivers involved in horrendous crashes getting out of the car without a scratch. And even if the Halo would make the car a bit safer, it's still a worse solution than the aeroscreen, simply because the latter provides a better vision and protects a larger area of the driver's head.
Nobody Likes It
So when the fans, drivers and teams don't like this concept, why should it be introduced? Wasn't liberty media going to listen more to what the fans say. They want to try to bring the sport closer to the fans. But with introducing the Halo, they have nowhere to go except to pull it even farther away than what the fans would really like to see.
