The best Bulgarian players defeated Istomin in the 4th round of Australian Open 2017. This is the 9th consecutive win for the Bulgarian in 2017 after he won the ATP tournament in Brisbane earlier this year.

The first set was quickly taken by Istomin after winning four consecutive games. The second set was a decisive one. None of the players was able to break his opponents serve and they got to a tiebreak. Dimitrov stayed more concentrated during this final long game of the 2nd set and won it with 7 points to 2. On Wednesday, Dimitrov is going to meet David Goffin who won against Dominic Thiem. The Belgian lost the first set 5:7, but managed to take the next three with the final score 7:6(7:4) 6:2 6:2.
