During this weekend's Austrian GP, Vettel crashed out of the race after his rear right tyre exploded on lap 26 while he was leading the race. The German accused Pirelli for this accident. There were a lot of speculations that this happened due to the long run on supersofts.
However, Pirelli state that the tyres were not fatigued. After analyzing the tyre issue they suggested that the explosion was caused by debris on the track.
