Germany face the hosts from France to decide the second finalist in Euro 2016. |
Two of the favorites in Euro 2016 meet each other tonight for a place in the final. France will be looking to avenge for their 2014 World Cup quarter-final when the Germans won 1:0 to win the tournament afterwards.
France had an easy way to this semifinal after winning their group with the teams of Romania, Albania, and Switzerland conceding only 1 goal scored from a penalty. Then in the round of 16 they had a tough match against Ireland winning 2:1 to get to an easy quarterfinal with Iceland which they won with 5:2. Germany's road was not much harder if we exclude the last match against Italy which the Germans won on penalties. Before that they met Northern Ireland, Poland, and Ukraine in the groups and Slovakia in the round of 16. They kept a clean sheet in all of these matches.
Germany will play without Sami Khedira, who has been ruled out, and Mats Hummels who is suspended after picking too many yellow cards. Meanwhile, France welcome back N'Golo Kante and Adil Rami.
