Can Andy Murray defeat his nightmare, Novak Djokovic? That's the question all fans of Murray and tennis ask just before the final at Murua Madrid Open 2016. The match starts at 6:30 pm local time.
This will be the second time they meet this year. The first match in 2016 was the final of Australian Open which Djokovic won in straight sets.
It is obvious that Andy struggles against the Serbinator. In their head-to-head Djokovic leads with 22 to 9 wins. He has won only one match in their last twelve meetings. However, in these twelve matches, only one was on clay - French Open 2015 where Novak had to play 5 sets in order to win.
In 2015, Murray won in the final of the Canadian Masters in 3 sets and that is his only win against Djokovic after Wimbledon 2013.
Today's final will be their 4th meeting on clay. Djokovic has won the last 3. So what can Murray do against the dominator of the male's tennis nowadays? Both players know very well each others strengths and weaknesses so let hope for an interesting final and may the better one win his second title at Mutua Madrid Open 2016.
