In the second FA cup quarterfinal today Everton defeated Chelsea home and booked their place in the semifinals. Chelsea's former player, Romelu Lukaku, scored both of the goals for Everton in the 78th and the 82nd minute to break down Chelsea's ambitions of winning a trophy this season. This happens only a few days after the Blues have been eliminated from CL by PSG. The match will by marked with Diego Costa's first red card of his Chelsea career after he pushed his face into Gareth Barry's neck, aiming to bite him.
Manchester City made a wrong step in the match against Norwich making a 0:0 draw and this may cost them the title. In fact, they did not show anything throughout the game to show that they still have ambitions to winning it at all. They only had 2 shots on target for the whole match. This leaves the Citizens 9 points behind the leaders, Leicester, and their task to reach the top seems impossible as there are only 9 more fixtures until the end of the season.
