Atletico Madrid - PSV Eindhoven (Champions League preview)

Atletico hosts PSV in the second leg match between them. The first one in Netherlands was a goalless draw and now both teams have equal chances to advance.
Looking at the statistics it is hard to say who is going to be the winner tonight. Atletico have scored 9 goals in their last three matches. In their favor is that they only lost one match as hosts since Diego Simeone became their coach. The fact that PSV has not won a match in Spain for their last 12 visits is also not to be neglected. On the contrary side, Atletico has always been eliminated by teams from Netherlands in their 4 clashes against them in direct eliminations. PSV's top goalscorer, Luuk de Jong, will help his team continue this streak as he returns tonight. He has 25 goals in all tournaments this season and is certainly the biggest threat Atletico has to deal with.
The result from the first leg would allow PSV play a more defensive game and try to make a goalless draw again and then try to eliminate their opponents through penalties. They, however, will try to make every possibility for goal count since one goal may be just enough for them to eliminate Atletico, because of the goal-away rule.
