Arsenal Will Try to Eliminate Barca this Time

'

Arsenal welcomes Barcelona tonight in the first match between them in the round of 16. That's the price the Gunners have to pay for finishing 2nd in their group. However, the team from London hopes that they will finally manage to eliminate the defending champion. And in order to do that they have to fight for a good result tonight.
These two sides have met many times in their CL history including the final in 2006 which was won by the Catalans 2:1. The last time they met, Arsenal was really close to revenge for the title by winning 2:1 at home, but they lost 3:1 in the second leg and were eliminated.
Both teams are in their best form. Arsenal has not lost a game since late January and is really close to the top of the table in Premier League, while Barcelona is in a streak of 32 matches unbeaten and is currently 8 points ahead of the 2nd team in Primera Division.
Barcelona dominate Champions League in the last 10 years having won it 5 times in that period. They now look to become the first team in the tornament's new edition to win it two seasons in a row. And they seem to have good chances since they won their group easy without losing a match. On the other hand, Arsenal have not reached the 1/4 final stage since 2010 and now have to eliminate the toughest possible opponent in order to change that.
The Gunners, however, face many serious problems since many important players will miss the match tonight due to injuries. These are Bellerin, Mikel Arteta, Rosicky, Wilshere and Gabriel Paulista. The only player who will not play for Barcelona tonight is Arda Turan.
The match starts at 19:45 GMT.
