Most Interesting Match:
[7] Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) vs. [4] Dominic Thiem (AUT)The Bulgarian, Grigor Dimitrov, has never played against Austrian, Dominic Thiem, in an ATP official match. This is considered to be big a battle between tennis players from the new generation. The 24-year old Dimitrov will try to reach the semifinals by defeating the 22-year old Thiem. Both players are right-handed and have very beautiful one-handed backhands.
Dimitrov played two not very long matches. Even though he finished his matches in straight sets, he showed that he was not concentrated enough and a bit slow, which is not normal for such a strong physically player like him. Thiem had an easy first round match but had some problems in the second round against Dmitry Tursunov. Dominic lost control over the situation in the tiebreak of the first set and had to win the next 2 sets which he managed to do.
Dimitrov and Thiem have not met each other in an ATP match which means it is going to take some time for Dimitrov and Thiem to adapt to the style of play. Let's hope for a dynamic game with many winner, long rallies and hot shots
